TutorThings by Instructron

Terms of Service

These terms explain the basic rules for using TutorThings. They are intentionally plain-language and focused on how the product works today.

Effective March 8, 2026

Accounts and who may use TutorThings

TutorThings accounts are currently intended to be created and managed by adults, including parents, caregivers, tutors, and educators. Learners are added inside those adult-managed accounts.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for the activity that happens under your account. If you think someone else has access, contact us and change your sign-in credentials as soon as possible.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use TutorThings to:

  • Break the law or violate another person's rights.
  • Interfere with the platform, probe for vulnerabilities, or try to bypass access controls.
  • Upload or submit harmful code, spam, or abusive content.
  • Use the service in a way that puts learners, other users, or the platform at risk.
  • Copy, scrape, or resell the service in ways we have not approved.

AI boundaries and learning guidance

TutorThings uses AI to guide sessions, respond to questions, and generate summaries or other learning insights. AI output can still be incomplete, incorrect, or poorly phrased.

  • TutorThings is not a substitute for professional, medical, legal, or emergency advice.
  • Adults should review important learning decisions and any saved session history.
  • We may change prompts, models, or supporting systems as we improve the service.

Plans, billing, and usage limits

Some TutorThings features may be free, while others may depend on plan level, guided-session limits, usage thresholds, or future billing settings shown inside the product.

TutorThings is a family learning product from Instructron. Billing is processed through Instructron.

If paid features are enabled for your account, you agree to the pricing, billing cadence, and usage rules shown at the time you subscribe. Third-party payment processors may handle the charge itself.

Billing help, cancellations, and refunds

Paid subscriptions can usually be managed through the Account area and the linked Stripe billing portal. Canceling a subscription normally means it will stop renewing at the end of the current billing period unless we say otherwise at the time of the change.

TutorThings does not market a general money-back guarantee on the pricing page. Families can use the Free plan to try the product without paid risk.

If a recent first paid subscription charge needs review, contact us and we will consider it case-by-case within 14 days of that first paid charge. Plan changes, renewals, free access, beta access, complimentary access, and extra tutoring time purchases do not create a new review window.

Extra tutoring time purchases are generally treated separately from subscriptions. Any exception is handled manually through support and depends on the circumstances.

Your content and our service

You keep ownership of the content you provide to TutorThings. You give us permission to host, process, and display that content as needed to operate the product, generate learning views, and improve reliability and safety.

We keep the TutorThings software, branding, and product experience under our ownership. Please do not copy or redistribute the service in a way that violates these terms.

Availability, suspension, and changes

TutorThings may change over time. We may add, remove, pause, or redesign features, and we may suspend or terminate accounts that misuse the service or create risk for others.

We do not promise uninterrupted availability. We aim to keep TutorThings dependable, but downtime, bugs, or external provider failures can happen.
